Le Brin is the new bistronomic restaurant in town that celebrates a cuisine that is seasonal, local and audacious. More than just a dining space, it positions itself as an urban refuge where nature and gastronomy meet.

Le Brin’s philosophy is clear, food should be both conscious and joyful, rooted in respect for producers and the rhythms of the seasons, while remaining uncompromising on pleasure and aesthetics. This vision required a brand identity capable of expressing refinement without pretension, engagement towards important core values, and the spirit of nature in a modern setting.

Challenge

The main challenge laid in defining a brand identity that could speak to both sides of Le Brin’s personality. On one hand, the restaurant embodies nature, seasonality, and a deep connection to producers. On the other, it is urban, modern, and positioned within the refined yet approachable world of bistronomy.

The founders wanted an identity that felt elegant but never pretentious, engaged but not moralising, refined yet warm and joyful. It was crucial to avoid clichés often associated with “green” or “vegetal” identities, the design needed to resonate with a bistronomic and urban audience.

Solution

To start shaping the visual language of the brand, I drew inspiration from organic forms, earthy tones and modern typography. The contrast between soft, rounded letterforms with yet a strong refined structure underlines the approachable-yet-elevated tone. The colour palette combines warm tones with striking rich accents, and minimalist patterns and layouts complete the identity to reflect modernity.

Together, these elements create a coherent identity that mirrors Le Brin’s culinary philosophy: aesthetic without being pretentious, rooted in nature while celebrating creativity.

Brand Personality

A brand personality refers to characteristics and traits with which the brand’s audience can relate to. It influences tone of voice, visual style, behaviours, and customer experience.

It helps differentiate a business in a crowded market. It shapes perception, builds trust, and creates loyalty by making the brand feel like “someone” people want to engage with.
