From Moving Pixels to Pen Strokes:

My creative journey through graphic design and lettering art

Born and raised near Lausanne, Switzerland, I grew up immersed in an holistic and artistic environment, with a therapist mother and a stage director father. Surrounded by books, captivated by video games, and often lost in my imagination, I developed an early love for storytelling, fantasy, and alternative worlds. The release of The Lord of the Rings on the big screen was a pivotal moment in my creative journey - thank you, Peter Jackson & team!

I studied multimedia design in Lausanne, where I discovered motion design and quickly fell in love with the craft. After graduating, I honed my skills through internships before landing, in 2011, at Blind, a Los Angeles studio specializing in 2D/3D animation and video production. Returning to Switzerland in 2012, I embarked on a freelance career as a motion designer, collaborating with agencies in Lausanne, Geneva, and Zurich.

In 2014, during a project in Paris, I discovered a passion for designing title sequences for films and TV shows. That experience marked the point when my interest for typography truly emerged. Shortly afterward, I moved to London - a city close to my father’s heart - where I spent three years freelancing for VFX companies and motion design studios. During this time, I contributed to major productions such as Jason Bourne, Fantastic Beasts, Ghost in the Shell, and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

By 2018, back in Lausanne with a wealth of great professional experiences, I found myself in need of deeper sense of purpose in my work. I then began practicing calligraphy and hand lettering as a hobby and a form of meditation. It quickly grew into a passion and became an integral part of my creative practice. This marked the beginning of a new chapter: developing a more personal and expressive facet of my design services.

Today, I specialize in typography, calligraphy, and hand lettering, creating bespoke titles, covers, posters, and branding assets. My work reflects a unique and personal approach to visual design, where letters and words become powerful tools for storytelling. These elements embody the narratives and emotions at the heart of each project, bringing me full circle to my early love of fantasy and storytelling.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate to continue pursuing this passion while enjoying life with my wonderful wife, daughter, and our beloved cat in our home in Lausanne.
